๐Ÿค” What is Metabolic Syndrome? Metabolic syndrome is a clustering of risk factors that is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and stroke. It is characterized by a co-occurrence of dyslipidemia, elevated glucose, and chronic inflammation.

๐Ÿ“‹ Key Components of Metabolic Syndrome:
Abdominal Obesity: Having excess fat around the waist, often referred to as "apple-shaped" body.
High Blood Pressure: Blood pressure consistently higher than 130/85 mm Hg.
High Blood Sugar: Fasting blood sugar levels above 100 mg/dL.
High Triglycerides: Levels above 150 mg/dL.
Low HDL Cholesterol: "Good" cholesterol levels below 40 mg/dL for men and 50 mg/dL for women.

Decrease your body weight will therefore be an essential goal of the program together with decreasing: your risk for cardiovascular diseases, blood pressure, cholesterol and to manage or prevent diabetes.

Shoulder stability and function are key! ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ Pop/ crank sound may be a sign of an injury to the shoulder labrum or bursa.

The shoulder labrum is a piece of fibrocartilage that lines the rim of the shoulder socket (glenoid). It deepens the socket, providing more stability to the shoulder joint. The labrum also serves as an attachment point for several ligaments and tendons in the shoulder, including the long head of the biceps tendon. ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿค” A bursa is a small fluid-filled sac that helps to reduce friction between moving tissues, such as muscles, tendons, and bones. In the shoulder joint, there are several bursae, but the most referred to one is the subacromial bursa. This bursa lies between the acromion (a bony prominence on the shoulder blade) and the rotator cuff tendons. Its function is to reduce friction and provide cushioning during shoulder movements.

๐Ÿ’ช The Protector of Smooth Movement:
1๏ธโƒฃ Friction Reduction: The shoulder bursa helps to minimize friction between the rotator cuff tendons and the acromion (a part of the shoulder blade). This reduces wear and tear during arm movements.
2๏ธโƒฃ Shock Absorption: It acts as a shock absorber, cushioning the impact on the shoulder joint during activities like weightlifting and sports.
3๏ธโƒฃ Tendon Protection: The bursa plays a crucial role in protecting the delicate rotator cuff tendons from rubbing against the bone.

๐Ÿง What is Kidney Failure? Kidney failure, also known as renal failure, is a condition where your kidneys lose their ability to function properly. These two bean-shaped organs play a vital role in filtering waste and excess fluids from your blood, maintaining a healthy balance in your body.

๐Ÿ’ก Types of Kidney Failure:
Acute Kidney Injury (AKI): A sudden loss of kidney function, often caused by severe infection, dehydration, or medications.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): A gradual, long-term decline in kidney function, often related to conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or certain genetic factors.
