❔️ What is LASER therapy?

💡The word LASER comes from the initials of the phrase "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation"

💡There are different types of laser therapies. In Physiotherapy we make use of what is called a "low level laser".

🔎How does it work?

LASER is a non-invasive and pain-free therapy that works by emitting light energy (photons) into the skin that gets absorbed by the body's cells (mostly the mitochondria). This enhances the cellular activity which in return promotes tissue repair and an increase of blood flow to the area.
