A Heartwarming Moment of Compassion from the Suzuki Griquas Rugby Team

On Saturday, 1 November 2025, our TAC Pulse Emergency Response Services (ERS) team was called into action at the Bloemhof Kwêla Makietie when brave 5-year-old PJ Johansen suffered a serious injury after allegedly being pushed from a high inflatable jumping castle. The fall resulted in his left forearm breaking in two places.

Our TAC-Pulse Advanced Life Support team immediately responded, stabilising PJ and ensuring he received expert pre-hospital care. In moments like these, every second matters, and we are incredibly proud of the professionalism and compassion shown by our Paramedics.

As PJ was being treated inside the ambulance, something truly special happened. The Suzuki Griquas Rugby Team, fresh off their incredible Currie Cup journey, approached our team and politely requested permission from PJ’s mother and our Medical Director to visit him.

While the ambulance couldn’t fit the entire team, every player wanted to be in there; a testament to who they are, not just as athletes, but as human beings. The players who entered offered PJ comfort, encouragement and heartfelt messages of support. They even posed for a photo with him and the Currie Cup trophy!

In an instant, PJ’s tears turned into the biggest smile. What began as a frightening moment for a little boy became a memory he will cherish forever.

This incredible gesture speaks volumes about the character, humility and heart of the Suzuki Griquas Rugby Team. In a world that sometimes feels fast-paced and distant, these men showed what true role models look like, stepping forward not just as champions on the field but champions of kindness, humanity, and community spirit.

From all of us at TAC Pulse ERS: thank you, Suzuki Griquas. You turned a difficult moment into one filled with hope, strength and inspiration.

🙏 Let’s Rally Behind PJ

Brave PJ required surgery and ongoing medical care, and he is not covered by medical aid, the financial burden is significant.

If you can, please consider supporting his recovery. Every contribution — big or small — makes a difference. For more information, please contact his incredible Mommy, Lientjie Lex Johansen

Celebrating Bloemhof — Town of the Year! TAC Pulse ERS Proudly Supports the Kwêla Makietie

What a fantastic afternoon! On Saturday, 1 November 2025, the team from TAC Pulse Emergency Response Services (ERS) proudly joined forces with the Bloemhof Kwêla Makietie in Bloemhof to celebrate the town’s triumph as “Town of the Year”. The event was alive with vibrant energy, community spirit and lots of fun.

TAC – Pulse ERS was honoured to sponsor the medical standby for the day — our way of giving back to the communities we serve and ensuring every attendee could enjoy the festivities knowing world-class pre-hospital medical support was available. It was a pleasure to be on hand, amidst the buzz of the day, helping make the event safe and successful for everyone.

The Makietie didn’t disappoint: music, food stalls, family-friendly entertainment, competitions and more kept the crowd buzzing. A huge thank-you to the organising team and to the wonderful Bloemhof community for coming out in full force.

A special acknowledgement to Dr AJ Steyn & Daleen Steyn for your leadership, passion and continued support. Your commitment to this community inspires us daily.

To the incredible people of Bloemhof: thank you for your continued support of TAC Pulse ERS. We are privileged to serve you, and we look forward to being there for you when it matters the most.

Here’s to community, safety, celebration, and many more memorable days like this!
