Keen for something sweet?🍩🍪🍰

Chocolate mud cake coming in hot at 13g of protein and only 160kcal per serving!💥

Great for a sweet after-dinner treat or top with yoghurt and enjoy for breakfast.

Recipe:

-       20g Woolworths Go Chocolate Crush* (swipe right to see)
-       1 egg
-       ½ tsp vanilla essence
-       1 tbsp almond/oat flour
-       ½ tsp baking powder
-       10g chocolate protein powder
-       1 tbsp sweetener of choice
-       2-3 blocks sugar-free chocolate

Mix all ingredients, microwave for 1-3 minutes and you’re done!🤩

*The Go Chocolate Crush is a blend of bananas, dates, pea protein & more.

You can substitute with ¼ mashed banana & 1 chopped date.

We find ourselves in a strange time. All of us are navigating circumstances that neither us nor anyone we know have ever been in before and we all have to wing it a bit.

Stress and anxiety tend to increase in situations where we are uncertain, and feeling this way definitely does not increase our focus and productivity. It does the opposite, and that's exactly what we don't want.

We approached two young, hardworking clinical psychologists to help us set up a guide to navigating and mastering stress and anxiety.

Burger night done right!🍔

DIY veggie burger or low-carb & lean? Whichever you’re feeling for we’ve got 2 incredible recipes perfect for burger night!

1. DIY veggie burger

A nutrient filled, vegetarian take on the typical burger patty.

Recipe below and in the video on our stories!
Ingredients: Makes 5-6 medium sized patties
* 1 can of chickpeas (drained, rinsed)

* 1 red onion, chopped

* 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

* 3 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes, drained 

* A small handful of fresh basil leaves

* ½ cup ground almonds

* ½ teaspoon salt

* 1 teaspoon pepper

* ½ teaspoon onion powder

* 1 teaspoon cumin

* 1 egg

* 40g brown bread crumbs (we grated 2 slices of high protein bread)

Pre-heat the oven to 220°C. Using a food processor, blend the chickpeas, red onion, garlic, sundried tomatoes & fresh basil. A blender can also be used however you’d need to add 2-3 ingredients at a time & stop to scrape down the sides. Add the ground almonds, egg, bread crumbs & seasonings. Blend until everything is incorporated. Place the mixture in a bowl, cover & refrigerate for 30 minutes. Mould the mixture into 5-6 medium sized patties. Place in the oven for 35-45 minutes.

For your burger: Mix red & white slaw with a teaspoon of reduced oil mayo. Top the slaw mix on a whole-wheat bun. Add the pickles, patty & a mix of sprouts.

2. The Lean Ostrich Burger - dynamite comes in small packages

This one contains a whopping 21g of protein in the patty alone & is perfect for a quick, lean dinner.
Serve your grilled ostrich patties on oven roasted portobello mushrooms & add fresh rocket, sliced tomatoes, sauted red onions & a generous dollop of reduced-fat hummus
There you go - two healthy alternatives to a typical burger that are packed with nutrients as well as flavour!

Nutritional comparison between each patty (without any other burger additions)

Veggie patty: depending on if you make 5 or 6

* Calories:146-175kcal

* Protein: 6-8g

* Carbs: 12.5-15g

* Fat: 5.25-8.4g

Ostrich Patty:

* Calories: 158kcal

* Protein: 21.5g

* Carbs: 2g

* Fat: 7.3g
