Today, the Japan Ambassador H.E Takeuchi Kazuyuki and distinguished Diplomats visited our health facility, ZATULET CLINIC, for a significant milestone. Accompanied by the CEO, Madam Charity Habeenzu, and the Ministry of Health Representative, Dr. Angel Mubanga, along with the Board member representative, facility program coordinator Mr. Alphonso Maambo, Facility In-Charge Sr. Pauleen Banda, invited guests, and supporting staff, we witnessed a successful handover ceremony of laboratory equipment, air conditioners, vital signs machines, and a dental chair with accessories.
Benefits to the Community
The donated equipment will greatly benefit People Living with HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) in several ways:
1. Improved Laboratory Capacity: The laboratory equipment will enable us to conduct timely and accurate diagnostic tests, facilitating early detection and treatment of diseases, including HIV and TB.
2. Enhanced Monitoring: The vital signs machines will allow our healthcare providers to closely monitor patients' vital signs, enabling prompt interventions and improved health outcomes.
3. Investigation of Non-Communicable Diseases: With the new equipment, we will be able to investigate and manage non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension which are increasingly prevalent among our population.
Additional Benefits
The dental chair and accessories will provide comprehensive dental care services to our patients, including:
1. Improved Oral Health: Regular dental check-ups and treatments will help prevent and manage oral health issues, promoting overall well-being.
2. Reduced Morbidity: Access to dental care will reduce morbidity associated with dental problems, improving quality of life.
Appreciation
We sincerely appreciate the support and partnership of the Government of Japan and the Embassy in our efforts to deliver quality healthcare services to our community. We look forward to continued collaboration and mutual benefit.
