Dr. Desiree Mohajane-Mulemfo once said, “Knowing is not enough we must apply, willing is not enough we must do." We are conscious of what needs to be done and sometimes willing to put in the work but to no avail. Although experiences differ, we somehow understand the magnitude of certain issues. My introspection birthed Hazel Speaks, an organization that helps those who experience psychological challenges such as depression, stress and abuse. I’m glad my experiences broadened my knowledge and the willingness to act! As I continue to become through YALI, my growth is certain. It is our responsibility to take action on society’s issues. We are the solution! Keitumetse Hazel Maseko, Botswana

Did you know that significant progress has been made in the fight against over the past two decades?

Thanks to the efforts of countries and malaria partners, countless malaria cases and deaths have been averted.

These wins remind us what commitment to the fight can help us achieve. To push even further towards a malaria-free future, we must leverage evolving technology, and consolidate global resources for sustained action.
