MR HABUKALI VAJU WRITES .
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” — Proverbs 23:7
Depression is real. Many of us are walking around with heavy hearts, silently fighting battles no one can see.
Fellow youths, please—talk to someone. You are not alone.
We often mistake someone’s pain for weakness, especially among young men. But that is not the case. Mental health is something we have not taken seriously enough, even here in Zambia. And it does not choose—it can affect anyone.
Even in the Bible, The Holy Man of God Elijah became overwhelmed. He ran into the wilderness and prayed that his life would end (Suicidal thoughts).. But in that moment, God met him, spoke to him, and restored his strength.
To every young person reading this: speak up. Reach out. Don’t carry it alone.
And to everyone else—take people seriously when they talk about su***de. What may sound like a joke or a passing comment could be a real cry for help.
Let’s look out for each other.
Let’s listen. Let’s care.
Churches let's put deliberate program form mental health Awareness or sensitization, atleast we all know that 80 percent of people had for at one time thought of su***de but how do you negotiate between commiting it or not... that is what we must guard... against
