5 WAYS TO REACH A HEALTHY WEIGHT
1.Skip the sugary drinks or beverages
*Sugary drinks such us juice, sweet tea & sports drinks, add extra calories with little or no nutritional value. People who regularly drinks sugary beverages are more likely to he overweight Note;choose water or low milk most of the time.
2.Exercise( Regular physical activity)
*This burns calories and builds muscles, both of which help you look & feel good and can help you keep weight off.Walking, cycling and doing other things that increase your daily level of activity can make a difference. Note; if you want to burn more calories, increase the intensity of your workout & add some strength exercises to build muscle.
3.Reduce screen time
*People who spend slot of time in front of screens are more likely to be overweight, set reasonable limits on the amount of time you are spending watching Tv,playing videos,games and using computers, phones ,tablets not related to school or work. Note; Turn off all screens atleast an hour before bedtime so you can get enough sleep.
4. Watch portion sizes
*Big portion pile on extra calories that can cause weight gain. Choose smaller portion especially when eating hight calories snacks. When eating away from home. Note; Try sharing an entree or save half of the meal to take home.
5. Eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day
*Fruits and vegetables are about more then just vitamins & minerals. They are also packed with fiber which means they fiil you up and when you are filled up with fruits & veggies, Note; You are less likely to overeat.
