10 Days Against GBV
As we close the 10 days of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, I stand energized, empowered, and unapologetically committed to this fight.
This year’s call to end digital violence is not just a theme, it’s a reality many women and girls are surviving every day. Online harassment, cyberbullying, and digital intimidation are forms of violence that cut deep, silence voices, and destroy lives. Safety must exist everywhere! In our homes, our streets, and our digital spaces.
As a social worker, therapist, human rights activist, and someone who supports individuals battling addiction, I witness daily how trauma and violence ripple across lives. These 10 days reminded me again that when we raise our voices together, we shift systems.
Now the work continues, demanding accountability from tech platforms, strengthening laws, empowering survivors, and creating communities where violence has no place, online or offline.
The movement doesn’t end today. We keep going. We keep fighting. We keep protecting.
