We are in Nairobi, Kenya π°πͺ at the Youth Connect Africa 2023: Empowering African Youths!
We are honored to represent the Zambian youth and innovators at the Youth Connect Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. The YouthConnekt Africa Hub is a Pan-African platform dedicated to empowering young people by enhancing their knowledge, experiences, and skills, while also investing in their ideas, innovations, and initiatives. This initiative aims to propel Africa forward in harnessing its demographic dividends by 2030.
The 6th edition of Youth Connect has brought together over 20,000 young people, heads of state, government officials, corporate leaders, and developmental agencies from across Africa. It has been an enriching experience, with invaluable insights shared by entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders, aimed at empowering the youth.
During the launch today, President William Ruto emphasized the importance of creating a borderless Africa to facilitate seamless business operations across the continent. He also announced that Kenya is opening its borders to all Africans, eliminating the need for a VISA. This is a significant step towards promoting unity and collaboration across the continent.
Nairobi has been an inspiring environment, brimming with innovation and creativity among the startups and innovators. I am thoroughly enjoying the energy of this vibrant city as I interact with the fellow innovators.
We look forward to sharing the valuable lessons and experiences from this event with the Zambian youths. We extend our gratitude to UNDP Zambia and the Ministry of Youths for providing us with this incredible opportunity.
