Hey there! Mental health is all about how we think, feel, and behave. It affects everything from our daily lives to our relationships and overall well-being. But sadly, many people still don't fully understand what mental health means, or they're afraid to talk about it. That's why we need your help to spread awareness! We're asking you to send us a short, thirty-second audio clip of what mental health means to you. Your voice can help break the silence and encourage others to speak up too. So please, join us in this important campaign, and let's start talking about mental health today!" Text us on : 0975984101

Mental health literacy refers to the knowledge and understanding that individuals have about mental health and mental illness. This includes being able to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions, understanding the risk factors and protective factors for mental health, and knowing where to seek help and support when needed.

Improving mental health literacy is important because it can help reduce stigma surrounding mental illness and increase awareness about the importance of mental health. When people are more knowledgeable about mental health, they are better equipped to recognize when they or someone they know may need help, and are more likely to seek appropriate care.

Mental health literacy can be improved through education and awareness-raising campaigns, as well as through access to accurate and reliable information about mental health. There are also various programs and interventions aimed at improving mental health literacy, such as mental health first aid training and school-based mental health education programs.

MENTAL HEALTH MYTHS❓ VS FACTS✅

Mental illnesses are health conditions involving changes in emotion, thinking or behavior (or a combination of these). Mental Illness refers collectively to all diagnosable mental disorders.

❓MYTH : Prevention doesn't work. It is impossible to prevent mental illnesses.

✅FACT: Prevention of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders focuses on addressing known risk factors such as exposure to trauma that can affect the chances that children, youth, and young adults will develop mental health problems. Promoting the social-emotional well-being of children and youth leads to:

Higher overall productivity
Better educational outcomes
Lower crime rates
Stronger economies
Lower health care costs
Improved quality of life
Increased lifespan
Improved family life

SU***DE IS NOT THE ANSWER ‼️❤️
Sometimes life gets hard, don't blame yourself,
There's so much that has happened to you, and it feels like no one can understand
Childhood Trauma, Depression, abuse
Sometimes you may not remember it all, hence unexplained episodes of depression
And other times you're plagued by the memories of the trauma and those who caused it

And No I am not going to tell you to "suck it up cause others are going through worse"
That's the worst thing anyone can hear, no one should ever compare your pain to someone else's because we all feel things differently!!!📌‼️

But I tell you now to talk to someone, anyone, a friend, a family member, sometimes even a stranger (someone you know but aren't really close to), you'd be surprised who can understand, or who can be a pillar just until you're strong enough to get up🤍🏳️
Others may not know what to say...
But believe me when I say the relief you feel after sharing your pain with someone who is there to listen is unexplainable!!!!❤️
SU***DE IS NOT THE ANSWER!!!!!‼️

Leave us a message if you would like to talk about your trauma, depression or just want to be heard‼️🥰 ❤️
We at MOREHEART FOUNDATION are here to listen🥰

It was a great experience.❤️

Children's Mental Health Week commences on the 7th of February and ends on the 13th of February 2022. This year's theme is Growing Together. Growing Together is about growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Challenges and setbacks can help us to grow and adapt and trying new things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone into a new realm of possibility and potential. However, emotional growth is often a gradual process that happens over time, and sometimes we might feel a bit ‘stuck’. We as Moreheartfoundation have come up with an out reach based on childrens mental health. We will be focusing on growing together, breaking the Barriers of bottling up our feelings and emotions. This outreach, will help the younger generation to open up more and accept help without being stigmatized. Now as we will be facilitating about growing together, we will be donating school useable materials such as books, pens and bags to the pupils. We are open for hand outs and donations.
