Constipation
When a person passes less than three bowel movements a day or has difficult bowel movements.
Signs and symptoms of chronic constipation include:
Passing fewer than three stools a week.
Having lumpy or hard stools.
Straining to have bowel movements.
Feeling as though there's a blockage in your re**um that prevents bowel movements.
Feeling as though you can't completely empty the stool from your re**um.
Common lifestyle causes of constipation include:
Eating foods low in fiber. Not drinking enough water (dehydration).
Not getting enough exercise.
Changes in your regular routine, such as traveling or eating or going to bed at different times.
Eating and then sleep immediately before 3 hours have passed
Eating while drinking at the same time which antagonize the intestinal system
If you often have trouble making bowel movements and have to take laxatives (drugs that help you go) on a regular basis, you could one day have a serious bowel problem called f***l impaction. A f***l impaction is a large, hard mass of stool that gets stuck so badly in your colon or re**um that you can't push it out which can even cause death.
Going longer than two or more days without one, it's usually too long. After two days, the stool or f***s become harder and more difficult to pass.
