Last year, her story 😭was truly emotional 😭 n inspiring: a young woman rising from the streets of Nakonde to become a qualified nurse. I recently ran into her while she was working on the street, selling chips and fried chicken to support herself. It was deeply moving to learn that she funded her entire education through this business.
Women like her, who work so tirelessly, should be an inspiration to us all. She is a vibrant, qualified professional who refuses to wait solely for government employment. Her dedication has deeply affected me. While I rarely ask for help, I am now appealing to private hospitals and government institutions to consider hiring her.
It is heartbreaking that such a hardworking young woman remains unemployed. I am calling on any private institution in Zambia—or anywhere else—to offer her an opportunity so that her hard work finally pays off.
