While using these products, we apply on average 168 different ingredients to the skin each day. 22 percent of personal care products on the market contain at least one chemical that is linked to cancer. Our skin absorbs into the body 60 percent of the makeup, creams and lotions that we apply each day. The cosmetics we stock are made from the highest quality plants, butters, flower extracts and essential oils, that leave the body and skin feeling beautiful and revitalized. With over 400 unique products, all created by making use of nature as the main source of beauty, you will be spoilt for choice. The products we stock are made from natural ingredients and range from soaps, bath bombs to shower gels, body butters, creams, oils to scented candles. Ahvia also stocks high quality, health teas and supplements. We stock health supplements such a moringa and our health teas include blood pressure reducing teas, slimming teas, general detox and skin detox teas, constipation and colon cleanse teas and many more.

MYTH or TRUTH?

The Myth:Using toothpaste on a pimple will make it go away overnight!

The Truth:This is a MYTH! Toothpaste is not a suitable treatment for acne or pimples. Here's why:

- Toothpaste is not formulated for skin: Toothpaste is designed for cleaning teeth, not skin. It contains ingredients like sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, and artificial flavors that can irritate and dry out your skin.
- Can cause more harm: Applying toothpaste to a pimple can lead to redness, irritation, and even infection. It can also dry out the skin, making the pimple more noticeable.
- Not a spot treatment: Toothpaste doesn't contain ingredients that target the root cause of acne, like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. It won't help reduce inflammation or kill bacteria that cause pimples.

What to do instead:

- Use a spot treatment containing salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or tea tree oil to reduce inflammation and kill bacteria.
- Keep your hands away from your face to prevent oil and bacteria from spreading.
- Wash your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser to keep your skin clean and balanced.

Remember, patience is key! Pimples take time to heal, and using the right treatments will give you better results in the long run.
