Most Upper Respiratory Infections are viral caused. Hence, antibiotics are rendered irrelevant in their treatment . More reason to consult your health provider before you self-prescribe amoxicillin , Pen V, or Azithomycin .

Ideally, when choosing antibacterial treatment of infections , the infecting organisms has to be identified and the results of sensitivity tests should be known. That's the reason self-prescriprion is discouraged. Antimicrobial Resistance is Real and Rampart. Visit the hospital and say No to self- prescribing.
