ENOUGH IS ENOUGH – OUR CHILDREN DESERVE SAFETY, NOT SCARS
Today, I join all well-meaning Zambians in raising my voice against the disturbing rise in child sexual abuse. This crisis demands urgent and firm action.
Across the country, brave voices are rising — civic leaders, traditional authorities, and concerned citizens. I stand with them. This is a moral emergency.
Too many of our sons and daughters are being harmed by those meant to protect them. We must not allow tradition, poverty, or ignorance to excuse such cruelty.
Let me be clear:
There is no healing in harming a child.
No culture in cruelty.
No future in silence.
I applaud survivors, families, and organizations speaking out. But we must go beyond awareness — we must act.
Let us build safer schools, stronger families, vigilant communities, and a justice system that punishes abusers swiftly and firmly. Let’s teach our boys that respect is strength, and our girls that silence is not.
As someone deeply involved in supporting children through education, mentorship, and health, I remain fully committed. I will continue working with schools, families, and leaders to ensure children are protected and valued.
To our police, judiciary, and defense forces:
Act boldly. Defend the voiceless. Let justice speak loud and clear.
From villages to cities, every child deserves safety, dignity, and peace.
Let this be the generation that says: Enough is Enough.
In service of the vulnerable,
