•General check up for exercise and sports
fitness.
•Exercise prescriptions based on age and
accounting for co-morbidities
•Annual Physical Exam including:
- General kidney, liver and thyroid function
tests.
- Screening for Rheumatoid and arthritis
- other blood Tests
•Medical Imaging:
- X-ray and Ultrasound
- ECG and ECHO
- Interpretation on MRI and CT imaging
reports

This sports clinic is free of charge for all
Zambia Basketball Federation affiliates who
are covered by NHIMA, aligning with the
commitment to promoting universal health
coverage. We also accept various affiliated insurance policies, and welcome atheletes and
physically active individuals in need of injury
review, management and prevention to
come through for consultation.

We are a multidisciplinary health center. Wellspring Specialty Hospital, in collaboration with the Zambia Basketball Federation (ZBF), are hosting the Sports Injury Clinic, which has been operational since September 2023. It is open to all members of the sporting public, professional, semi-pro and amateur athletes alike. Consultation and treatment are covered by NHIMA & other insurers as accepted by Wellspring. The Sports Injury Clinic is run by a general surgeon and sports physician, and works alongside other medical practices such as blood labs, imaging, physiotherapists, and psychologists. We have close working relationships with orthopaedic surgeons as well as many other specialists. We promise to practice evidenced-based medical care.
