3 PRINCIPALS TO HELP YOU RISE IN LIFE
=================================
Reminiscing on Andrè De Shield's Words
1. SLOWLY IS THE FASTEST WAY TO GET WHERE YOU WANT TO BE.
- Are you feeling like you are moving slow as compared to your mates? It is normal to feel so, however, the big question comes back to you, What are you doing about what you have?
Instead of focusing on being the spotlight, why not focus on what you already have and yourself. Continue nurturing and adding value to yourself, career, relationship etc. by reading books, adding more papers to your academic achievements, applying yourself to productive activities and investments. Point to take note of, Do not spend your capital with people who are spending their profits just to have fun.
- Define yourself and perfect what you have in your hands first as this adds value to you just like Moses when God asked him in EXodus 4:2, "what do you have in your hands?" All he had was a rod in his hand and that is all he needed to start showing God's power to deliver the Israelites from Pharaoh.
2. THE TOP OF ONE MOUNTAIN IS THE BOTTOM OF THE NEXT SO KEEP CLIMBING.
- The biggest obstacle to our successes are our past successes and victories. Most of the time we become consumed with what we have already attained and tend to become comfortable. Hence, we stop putting in keen interest and effort to make ourselves better because we believe we have arrived. Truth be told, one Victory is a doorway to the next. Keep pushing and improving in as much as we celebrate our past victories.
3. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHOSE EYES LIGHT UP WHEN THEY SEE YOU.
One thing you have to understand is that how you see yourself is not how everyone sees you. Therefore, it is important to hold on to your vision and not share it anyhow to anyone as this will only give you negativity and start thinking that your vision is impossible to attain. Thus, it is of importance to surround yourself with people who want to see you win. The saying, "show me your close friends and I will show you who you are" is simple but true. This is where networking comes in and it is critical to your growth and vision fulfilment.
There's a common saying that goes like, "it takes a community to raise a child" so the question is, WHAT IS YOUR COMMUNITY?
