Here are some symptoms of Level 3 Autism or what is sometimes described as severe or profound autism. Individuals who are severely autistic share the following symptoms:- They have an inability to use spoken language and are often nonverbal. They may have extreme sensitivity to crowds, bright lights, and loud noises which make them feel overwhelmed. They often have a lower IQ than neurotypical and high functioning autistic people but are still smart and intelligent in a different way. They may engage in repetitive behaviours, like violent rocking and door slamming. Some individuals with level 3 autism will also have physical symptoms, such as double incontinence, Gastro intrsticical issues, sleeplessness and epilepsy. Profoundly and severely autistic people need high levels of support from their families' schools and society. Level 3 autism is also a spectrum, not everyone will have the same symptoms but they still require substantilly support.
