Baby Delivery Kit
Our Baby Delivery Kit is part of our Sexual and Reproductive Health program, designed specifically to support safe childbirth in rural Zambia. Recognizing that many women in the communities we serve still give birth at home, our kit provides essential tools to deliver in hygienic, infection-free conditions.

The goal is to empower expectant mothers by giving them affordable access to safe delivery resources—helping reduce maternal and newborn infections that often result from unsafe home births. Evidence shows that clean delivery kits significantly lower infection rates and improve birth outcomes in rural settings.

Contents of the Baby Delivery Kit

Bleach, 750 ml

Cotton wool, 250 g roll

Disposable plastic delivery sheet, 2 meters

Maternity pads (6 pcs)

Surgical blades (2 pcs)

Surgical gloves (6 pairs)

Umbilical cord clamps (2 pcs)

Join Our Impact Story
You can help shape positive outcomes for mothers and babies: by supporting our Baby Delivery Kit initiative, you're ensuring that women in rural communities have the necessary tools for safe delivery. Together, we can reduce preventable infections and save lives—one birth at a time.

Breaking Barriers: Empowering Girls Through Menstrual Health

On May 28, 2025, in honour of Menstrual Hygiene Day a global campaign observed annually to promote period dignity and combat stigma
a young beneficiary at Chanjowe Secondary School in Chadiza took the lead. Thanks to Czech Aid and Snuggs, she received period-proof pants and courageously demonstrated their proper use and care to fellow students and key stakeholders.

As part of Live Well, we were thrilled to witness firsthand the transformation: these young girls now have both knowledge and resources to manage their menstruation safely and confidently. This moment highlights the real-world impact of menstrual health education and reusable products in keeping girls in school and empowering them with dignity.

Why this matters:
For countless girls, lack of access to sanitary products means missing school and losing vital opportunities. In rural parts of Zambia millions of girls still fall behind due to period-related challenges.

🕊 Call to Action: Join the Movement
Your support makes a difference. Every donation helps provide menstrual health products, education, and infrastructure—directly keeping girls in class and lifting communities.

✅ How you can help now:

Donate to sponsor reusable period-proof pants or reusable pads for schoolgirls in rural communities.

Spread awareness by sharing this post with friends and family.

Partner with us to bring menstrual education to more schools.

Together, we can break barriers, end period stigma, and ensure every girl can thrive—with her education uninterrupted.

Donate today and stand for period dignity.

What is a reusable pad?
A reusable pad is a type of sanitary pad designed to be washed and reused multiple times, rather than being thrown away after a single use like disposable pads. They are often used during menstruation.

Benefits of Reusable Pads:
Materials: Typically made from soft, absorbent fabrics such as cotton, bamboo, or h**p, with a moisture-wicking top layer and a waterproof backing.

Design: They come in various sizes and absorbency levels, and usually have wings with snap buttons to fasten around the underwear.

Eco-friendly: Reduce waste and are considered a sustainable alternative to single-use pads.

Cost-effective: Though they have a higher upfront cost, they can last for several years with proper care.

Care: They are rinsed, soaked, and washed either by hand or in a washing machine.

One of the packages we have under reusable at LiveWell is the Schoolgirl Kit. This pack comes with 5 reusable pads as shown on picture.

2 pads are mini.
2 pads are Max.
1 is a super maxi pad.
2 carrying pouches are included.
