Today, we recognize and support children living with Autism. They are said to be on the Autism Spectrum because each child is unique, no two autistic individuals are the same. They experience the world in different ways, including how they process sensations, emotions, and interactions.
Some individuals on the spectrum may have intellectual impairments, while others are highly functional and excel academically. Some may experience epilepsy, while others do not. Despite these differences, there are common traits used in diagnosing Autism, including challenges in social-emotional development, cognition, and language skills.
By understanding and embracing these differences, we can create a more inclusive and supportive world for individuals with Autism. Letβs spread awareness and acceptance!
