"Heartwarming moment at Mansa General Hospital!

The Center for Future Generation, in collaboration with the Department of Child Development from the Ministry of Community Development and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Health, came together to bless a mother who recently gave birth to triplets at Mansa General Hospital!

The team donated assorted items to support the new mom and her little ones. This kind gesture is a shining example of community spirit and dedication to supporting vulnerable families.

Kudos to the Center for Future Generation and our partners for making a difference in the lives of those who need it most! "

A Generous Donation to Mansa General Hospital's Maternity Ward

Mansa General Hospital is pleased to announce a generous donation from the Department of Child Development, a technical department within the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services of Zambia. This kind-hearted contribution is a reflection of the Department’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of mothers and children in Zambia.

As part of the donation, the Department has provided cleaning materials for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at our hospital, ensuring that the most vulnerable infants receive the best care possible in a safe and clean environment. The NICU plays a crucial role in the care of newborns who require specialized treatment, and these cleaning materials will go a long way in maintaining the hygiene and safety standards needed for optimal care.

In addition to this, we are proud to highlight a special gesture made by the Department: a gift presented to a mother who recently gave birth to triplets at our maternity ward. This extraordinary gift is a heartfelt recognition of the strength and resilience of mothers who face the challenges of raising multiple newborns.

The Department of Child Development, as part of its mission, is mandated to initiate, manage, implement, coordinate, oversee, and supervise the National Child Policy and the National Children’s Action Plan. Through this donation, they continue to demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of children and families across Zambia.

We are deeply grateful for this kind donation and the ongoing partnership with the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services. These acts of support not only help us provide the best possible care but also remind us of the power of community and collaboration in achieving positive outcomes for our patients.

Mansa General Hospital remains committed to providing quality healthcare to all, and we are proud to work alongside partners who share our dedication to improving the health of mothers and children.

Thank you to the Department of Child Development luapula province for your continued support!

GOOD MORNING, PEOPLE OF LUAPULA AND BEYOND 🌞

Let's talk about a growing concern: Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)! 🌑️

When we misuse antibiotics through self-prescription or incomplete treatment, we risk making infections harder to treat. This can lead to:
- Longer illnesses
- Increased risk of complications
- Higher healthcare costs

Let's protect our health and the effectiveness of antibiotics:
- Only use antibiotics prescribed by a healthcare professional
- Complete the full treatment course

YOU DON'T NEED AN ANTIBIOTIC FOR A FLU OR EVERY DIARRHEA!!!

Your actions matter!

Let's work together to combat AMR. πŸ’‘
