THREE TYPES OF STROKE:
- Ischemic stroke
- Atherosclerotic stroke
- Hemorrhagic stroke.
Stroke is sometimes called Brain attack.
# ISCHEMIC STROKE, occurs when the blood flow to a portion ( help ) of the brain is stopped or reduced, it causes the brain cells damaged or death.
- A clot blocks the blood vessels supplying the brain in about 87% of instances of stroke.
- when the clots grow within blood vessels can cause a thrombotic stroke or they can block a brain artery resulting in Embolic stroke.
# ATHEROSCLEROTIC STROKE,
- Is similar to ischemic stroke
- it occurs when blood vessels supplying the brain becomes narrow or blocked due to fatty deposits (plaque) by what we take in our bodies
- Atherosclerosis is a condition characterized by accumulation of fatty (plague) on inner walls of arteries, which reduces blood flow.
# HEMORRHAGIC STROKE, occurs when a blood vessels that was already weak bursts
- causing bleeding inside the brain ( intracerebral hemorrhage) or around the brain's surface (subarachnoid hemorrhage)
# The Impact Of Stroke.
- loss of balance, headache, or dizziness
- speech difficult
- blurred vision
- trouble when walking
- nausea
- face one side of the face dropping
- cognitive changes ( emotional & psychological) effects of stroke can be severe (serious), resulting in depression, worry and sense loss.
