There will be a Blood Donation Drive at Mary Begg Hospital (Kansanshi Mine Hospital) tomorrow. If you are healthy and not donated blood in the last 12 weeks then you are eligible to donate and save a life!

As Zambia continues to strengthen its healthcare system, the role of blood donors has never been more vital. We’re excited to announce that we are partnering with Mary Begg Health Services and The Ministry of Health to schedule a series of blood donation drives at both of our mine hospitals.

Whether you’re a first-time donor or a regular, your generosity can make a life-saving difference. Join us in being a lifesaver and supporting the health of our communities. Every donation counts!

We are pleased to announce a Blood Donation Drive happening this Thursday at Kansanshi Mine Hospital (Mary Begg). If you are healthy and have not donated blood in the last 12 weeks, we encourage you to come forward and help save lives. Just one donation can make a world of difference to someone in need. This past Saturday was World Hypertension Day under the theme “Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer!”

At both our KMP and FQM Trident sites, we commemorated the day through events at our main site canteens where we offered free blood pressure screenings, wellness education and fun exercise challenges. The goal was to reinforce the importance of prioritizing holistic well-being as a
means to control blood pressure.

We also hosted aerobics classes on Saturday across both our host communities, demonstrating that true health and wellness goes far beyond our work environment and should be incorporated into our day-to-day lives.

Knowing your blood pressure numbers is extremely important for understanding your heart health and overall well-being. So measure your blood pressure accurately, control it and live longer!
