The Hematology department offers tests relating to the following:
- the number of cells circulating in the blood (FBC)
- microscopic examination of blood cells (Peripheral smear)
- Malaria testing
- a decreased or increased clotting ability of blood (Coagulation studies)
- blood group determinations
- investigation of hemolytic disorders
- CD4 and CD8 counts for HIV monitoring
