Services for Children

At Ronald Trust for Cerebral Palsy & Autism Children in Zimbabwe we provide a range of services for children with Cerebral Palsy & Autism
The Ronald trust provides the following services:
Care, education and therapy for children with multiple disabilities
Community support for children and young people with acquired brain damage
Outreach services
Rehabilitation and Palliative care
Support for Siblings of multi severely cerebral palsy children and young careers. Connecting family members with other families for information
2. Connecting family members to individuals, professionals, services or community resources.
3. Connecting grandparents, siblings, foster parents.
4. Informing and consulting families on relevant issues.
5. Skill development options to family members and people with a cerebral palsy.
6. Person Centred Planning options via Futures Planning and Essential
7. Lifestyle planning for families and people with a CP disability.
8. Family Action Planning Networks providing opportunities for families to work together to enhance their skills to advocate for their family member, and enable people with a cerebral palsy disability to be included in their local community.
9. Skill development options to interested professionals.
10. Information to Government, non-government and community organisations about the issues and concerns of families who have a family member with a cerebral palsy disability.
11. Sourcing for appropriate mobility aids
12. Facilitate access to decent and affordable accommodation

Tracy is 11yrs. She stays in the village with her poor parents. She have never received any therapy since birth. Hence she suffered severe Cintractures. Due to her degree of her disabilities she can't be on wheelchair. She was brought to the meeting in a scotch Cart. Tracy could not hide her smile when she saw us as it was her first time to be on a Social gathering during the disability parenting meeting

The untold stories of Children with Severe Cerebral Palsy leaves a lot to desire. There is very little attention given to these children hence some parents are dumping them in rural areas with poor grannies. Most of these children barely have birth certificate so they are left out in National planning programs
