On exactly the same Friday last year, it was 14 December, our Gokwe South Team travelled back as we closed down for the holidays. Because of the numbers they had seen in that first quarter they all had little to no hope if the DREAMS project was going to be a success in the District. Filled with determination and resilience, we went back when the holidays ended and we kept going. Today we are proud to report that in Gokwe South we have met and given services to over 10000 adolescent girls and young women (AGYWs), who have each shared with at least 3 of their peers the education on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights that we give them. This translates to a whooping 30000 people that we have imparted this key knowledge to. The effects are already seen in behaviour change, drop in new HIV cases, a drop in teenage pregnancies, a position I've mindset and a lot more. We can't wait to see the new Gokwe South with AGYWs who are Determined, Resilient, Empowered, Aids-free, Mentored and Safe. For now we can safely say the district is lit, and the program is spreading like veld fire.

Thank You Gokwe South, together we can bring new AGYWs HIV infections to zero . See more pics in the comment section.
We really appreciate our partners, communities leaders and health workers.

It is so fulfilling to have young women meet to discuss issues around GBV. They are often victims, however in all that surely there is a lot they can do as we heighten efforts to end GBV.
What are some of the things women can do to help us see a significant reduction in GBV? Let's meet in the comment section.

We are always grateful to our, supporters

Discussing causes and interventions that can be employed to curb GBV. It's so fulfilling to hear it coming out from elders and community gate keepers.
What are some of the causesnof GBV, that you think we should tackle?

There is massive change power in a genuine dialogue, we sat down with adolescent girls and young women in Bulilima District to discuss some of the key issues that affect their access to sexual and reproductive health and rights. We had so much and learnt a lot. What are some of the issues that you think contribute to this issue?
Thank you Gender Links for the support the girls are happy. We would want to acknowledge and appreciate the support that we are getting from the ministry of health as well as the District Social Development.

We leave no stone unturned when it comes to health and wellness of the marginalized communities,In this October breast cancer awareness month, we took the opportunity to empower our girls, with knowledge on early detection, self examination and healthy life styles that minimizes chances of breast cancer. We appreciate our brand ambassadors Josphine Dera and Petronela as well as our integrated community health nurses for a splendid job.

Another fruitful Community Dialogue that we had, where we had in-depth discussions on risks factors of HIV and community health and wellness in general and how we can improve our intervention models.
We gain a lot of wisdom from the elders
We are so humbled by the support that we get from the community leaders.
