Hello Friends 🌻🌼

I am sorry for not keeping you all up to date on here …. I honestly don’t know where the time has gone… Christmas and New Year have passed, and now it's already March 🥹🙆‍♀️!

Things have been moving along steadily here at Kuporesa. We’ve continued with our wound-care clinics, distributions through our Perfect-Push Project (PPP) with baby formula support & providing aid to those in need, as well as our regular beneficiaries.

A huge thank you to all of you who have generously donated over the past few months—prams, baby clothes, baby items, food, clothing, and monetary contributions via PayPal. We’re so grateful for these donations, which allow us to help those in need.

We’ve also been supporting patients attending CURE Children’s Hospital in Bulawayo as well as assisting with surgery fees for a few of our infant community members at Harare Hospital, & addressing various medical needs in our area.

Here are a few recent photos from the last couple of months 📸

We hope your year has been good so far & as we approach the Easter season continues to be happy and bright 🌟✝️

Thank you for your ongoing support! Couldn’t do it without you all!

Lots of love
Laura 💛

A little update from our Kuporesa wound-clinic …. always ongoing & never stops … 🙌

This young boy was playing up a mango tree with his friends & unfortunately he held onto a ZESA line … & the power came back on 🙈. He sustained electrical burns … entry in the left hand & exit out both feet….

Thankfully…. no life-threatening injuries 🙏🏻 & his burn wounds should heal completely with our advanced-wound care techniques which includes the fantastic dressings we are able to purchase & apply to these types of wounds!

To these wounds we have applied Smith & Nephew’s Algisite Ag seaweed on both feet ….. not available to purchase in Zim. We get these from SA or the UK!

And here he is… watching cartoons … trying to keep him distracted 🥰🙌

Hello Friends 🌻

Little Shammah who suffered burns to her legs had her skin graft surgery & is doing so well 🙏🏻💛

THANK YOU Karanda Mission Hospital for the incredible surgeries you do 🙌 ( and to Moreblessing that prepared her for surgery & accompanied her to Karanda).

THANK YOU to our donors who support us & help us to pay for these surgical interventions. With transport & medical bills, the total cost to assist Shammah was just under $600usd.

We would NOT have been able to assist her without YOUR donations.

And well done to little Shammah. You are the sweetest little warrior with such a gentle soul 💪🏽

Thank you thank you 🥰

Hello Friends

Meet ‘Little’ Prosper & ‘Big’ Prosper 🙃 !! These boys both unfortunately had to have an amputation due to different reasons;

‘Little’ Prosper, 8 years old, had a tumor behind his knee that resulted in doctors having to amputate his right leg. ( above knee) He is a busy & happy little boy. He is in good health now, but is limited as he relies on his crutches to move about.

‘Big’ Prosper, 27 years old, had a traumatic injury to his right leg at the beginning of this year that resulted in his amputation ( below knee). He also relies on his crutches.

This is the first time these two boys have met !!! They were a little overwhelmed & could not believe they both had the same name, same disability & could relate with each other.

I do not have any connections to help them try & get an opportunity to have physio & a prosthesis. 🥹

If anyone has any ideas of how to go about this or where I can try get them this sort of specialist assistance ….. I would be so grateful?

I know CURE may be able to help ‘Little Prosper’ …. but they only do children. It would be ideal if I could get them to a specialist in this field together … as they come from the same area & would be a good support for each other in their journey ..🙏🏻

Thanks for the continued support & donations friends. It all helps in keeping us going & we appreciate it all !! 🥰

Friends 🌻,

At the end of June 2024 … we received a huge donation from WEST PROP HOLDINGS. Their team drove up all the way from Harare to Chegutu to see us …. which took us by surprise & we were very overwhelmed by their generosity & kindness.

I can honestly say, the West Prop team of people who came here were so kind, full of positivity & good energy!! A shining light 💡! They met some of our beneficiaries & were able to spend some time with them & hand over some donations directly to them.

Thank you West Prop Holdings for your amazing work and in giving back to the communities 🙌

Your love & support for us here at Kuporesa Trust is so appreciated 🙏🏻

Hello Kuporesa Friends 🌻

I have been quiet posting on here … but we have been very busy behind the scenes.

My dear father passed away recently & Moreblessing has been busy keeping Kuporesa going whilst I have been away 🥹🙏🏻

My father supported me & knew of the work we were doing at Kuporesa the last few years & we will continue working hard & making a difference to those that are suffering 🙏🏻

Baby Sharmaine came to visit us 🥰 We continue to provide food for her & help her Gogo to care for her.
She is very behind in hitting her milestones due to her malnourishment at the beginning of her life but she is making progress for sure & being very well looked after & loved by her Gogo & by us at Kuporesa

Thanks for all the support because it is donors who provide the foods & care we deliver

Hello Friends 🌻

Winter is fast approaching! If anyone is able to assist us with NAN formula , we are currently feeding 7 babies.

These triplets are also in need of mealie meal & we have been asked to assist in helping to feed them. We do have some peanut butter …. but any assistance with this would also be greatly appreciated, as they will come back next month for re-supply!

We also have our little Evie who needs a school jersey & shoes. She is 12 yrs old.

We are just a bit low on funds to be buying all the above … so any donations for these items will be much appreciated!!

You can DM me for any drop-offs !!

Thank you 😃🙏🏻💛💛
