*JAUNDICE IN NEWBORNS* (yellow).
It is a common problem in both term and preterm babies.
Its easier to see it in the eyes ( sclera/ white part of the eye). If the eyes have no yellowish color then baby has no jaundice.
- it's a dangerous condition if levels are high enough to cause brain damage/cerebral palsy or death.
*WHAT TO DO*
- babies must be seen and evaluated by healthcare worker on day 1, 3 and 7/10 days.
- if you notice the yellow discoloration please urgently talk to the child's Doc.
