This Week's EYE Health Tip 👁️
Your child won't tell you they can't see clearly.
Not because they're hiding it, but because they don't know any different. To them, that's just how the world looks.
Here's what most parents in Zimbabwe don't realize:
👉 A child who squints at the board isn't "lazy" - they may be struggling to focus.
👉 A child who sits too close to the TV isn't being difficult - they may be compensating for poor distance vision.
👉 Frequent headaches after school? Eye strain from undiagnosed refractive errors is one of the most overlooked causes.
👉 Rubbing eyes constantly? That's the body's way of trying to clear what the eye can't fix on its own.
Between the bright Harare sun, dusty classrooms, and hours on phones and tablets - our children's eyes are under more pressure than ever before. And because kids adapt so well, the signs often go unnoticed until the problem is serious.
The question isn't whether your child complains about their eyes.
The question is: when last were their eyes actually checked?
Early detection changes everything. Share this with a parent who needs to see it. 👇
