*Director Carol Mashingaidze Tapfumaneyi Visits Rukariro Rehabilitation Centre*

This week, our Director, Mrs. Carol Mashingaidze Tapfumaneyi, visited Rukariro Rehabilitation Centre in Odzi to engage with staff and residents and assess the needs of the facility.

Rukariro houses individuals living with psychiatric and physical challenges, and despite facing serious resource limitations, the dedication of the staff remains inspiring.

“Rukariro is more than a care facility, it is a place of hope. We must ensure it receives the attention and support it deserves.” said Mrs. Tapfumaneyi

We remain committed to supporting institutions like Rukariro that serve our most vulnerable communities with compassion and dignity.

Another beautiful and Spirit-filled day with the missionaries, Professor Lee and his son, all the way from America.

Today, they spent meaningful time with the clients at Mandipa Hope, offering encouragement, prayer, and the love of Christ to those walking through challenging seasons.

A heartfelt thank you to Apostle Joshua Alphasi of God’s Tabernacle International Church for opening the door and giving us the opportunity to serve alongside these humble servants of God.

These moments remind us that ministry is not always in the pulpit — sometimes it’s in a quiet room, a gentle prayer, or simply being present in love.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

Shelly Bent – Universal Woman Zimbabwe 2024/2025 🇿🇼✨

Shelly Bent, crowned Universal Woman Zimbabwe 2024/25 has used her platform to champion mental health and substance abuse awareness, launching impactful campaigns, creating support groups, and making media appearances to reduce stigma around these issues.

This week, she represented Zimbabwe at the Universal Woman Pageant in Jaipur, India, standing alongside contestants from across Africa and the world. She made history as the only African contestant to reach the Top 12 at the global finals — a groundbreaking achievement for the continent.

Her journey also shone in the talent segment, where she delivered an emotional tribute to her brother, who was recovering from illness, and to anyone feeling alone. As she expressed:

“This talent show performance was a tribute to my brother and anyone in the community who feels alone…”

Adding to her accolades, yesterday 10 August 2025, Shelly was announced the winner of the Universal Woman Influencer Award, recognizing her exceptional ability to build a powerful community and advocate for her cause online. Her efforts and achievements have filled Zimbabwe and the SADC region with pride.

Congratulations, Shelly – a true queen of the modern era! 👑🌍

Men’s Mental Health Month – A Morning with Cosmas Zulu

Mandipa Hope was honoured to host the legendary Cosmas Zulu in celebration of Men’s Mental Health Month. At the remarkable age of 75, Cosmas – affectionately known as “Tsano” – is living proof that clean living might just be the secret to dancing like a teenager. A man who has never touched alcohol or smoked a single cigarette, his energy, humour, and charisma lit up the room.

But Tsano didn’t just entertain – he inspired. He spoke passionately about the dangers of substance abuse, urging men to take control of their health and choices. “What you eat makes you who you are,” he reminded the audience. “You either make food your medicine, or you’ll make medicine your food.” With straight talk and heart, he encouraged men to save money to support their families, instead of spending it on alcohol or destructive habits.

At the core of his message were the three D’s: Discipline, Dedication, and Devotion – values he believes are essential not only in sport, but in life. Whether it’s your health, your career, or your family, Tsano emphasized that these three principles are the foundation of lasting success and wellbeing.

Beyond the words of wisdom, Cosmas is a football legend in every right. A former national team player and coach, he has been part of Zimbabwean football longer than many in the audience had been alive. From training champions to passionately commanding from the sidelines, he’s helped shape the game and mentor generations. His leadership, charm, and boundless energy have left an indelible mark on Zimbabwe’s sporting history.

A true role model on and off the field, Cosmas “Tsano” Zulu reminds us that with clean living, purpose, and a good dance move, age is just a number – and life is what you make it.
