From someone who decided to start moving Every Tuesday with Uplands Medical Clinic
As I was going through my gallery I came across an old photo of mine canoing. Something that I don't do often but was a once off recreational activity for me. Anyway the picture made me realise that there are so many ways one can exercise. Not everyone enjoys jogging but there is definitely something that one enjoys. It could be canoeing, swimming or even skipping a rope. No excuse for not exercising. Tell us in the comments section that one thing you enjoy doing for exercise purposes 🏋️‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚣‍♀️

From Someone Who Decided to Start Moving Every Tuesday at Uplands Medical Clinic

🤔 A question I've been wrestling with...

Last week, I paused my regular jogging and walking routine because I was on a spiritual fast. But as I've been reflecting and praying about it since then, I keep asking myself: Should I really stop exercising when I'm fasting, or should I continue? I'm genuinely curious about the balance between honoring the spiritual discipline of fasting while also maintaining physical health and the habits I've worked hard to build. Some thoughts I'm wrestling with:

Reasons to pause exercise:
Allows full focus on the spiritual aspect without physical strain
Conserves energy for prayer and reflection Honors the traditional approach of many spiritual fasting practices
Gives the body complete rest during a time of sacrifice

Reasons to continue (with modifications): Maintains consistency in healthy habits
Light exercise might actually support the spiritual discipline
Could help with energy levels and mood during fasting
Physical and spiritual health can complement each other I'm leaning toward thinking that continuing with walking (maybe lighter jogging) could actually support the spiritual discipline rather than detract from it.
