COVID-19 THIRD DOSE BOOSTER VACCINES NOW AVAILABLE AT THE AVENUES CLINIC.
In line with the advice from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, please take note of the below:
**The 3rd dose booster vaccination proceeds with the same vaccine type used for the 1st and the 2nd dose for that individual. For the avoidance of doubt, there shall be no mixing of different vaccine types;
**There should be at least six months interval between the 2nd dose and the 1st and 2nd dose;
**The booster dose is recorded on the same vaccination card with the 1st and 2nd dose;
**There should be at least six months interval between the last post-recovery PCR negative test following an episode of Covid-19 infection.
All those interested can visit the Vaccination table within the hospital's Causalty Unit. Remember to bring your vaccination card. The booster vaccine is for free. However, a fee of ZWL$220 applies.

Know the facts, according to the World Health Organisation.

When do infected people transmit the virus?

Whether or not they have symptoms, infected people can be contagious and the virus can spread from them to other people.

Laboratory data suggest that infected people appear to be most infectious just before they develop symptoms (namely 2 days before they develop symptoms) and early in their illness. People who develop severe disease can be infectious for longer.

While someone who never develops symptoms can pass the virus to others, it is still not clear how frequently this occurs and more research is needed in this area.
