*DIABETES AND HYPERTENSION VS ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION*
*ARE YOU Diabetic OR HYPERTENSIVE AND YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH ERECTILE DYSFUNCTIONS*
âž–Men with diabetes are 3x more likely to have trouble getting or keeping an er****on. There can be several reasons for this, such as limited blood flow, nerve damage (neuropathy) and damaged blood vessels.
âž–Having high sugar levels for a long period of time can damage your blood vessels and nerves, including the ones that supply your p***s. This can restrict the amount of blood flowing to your s*xual organs, so you can lose some sensation. This could mean you have difficulty getting aroused, both physically and in how you feel.
âž–people with diabetes are more at risk of s*xual dysfunction (problems when you have s*x). It's one of the complications of diabetes, and happens because of high blood sugar levels, as well as high blood pressure and blood fats (cholesterol).
*Statistics*
âž–It is estimated that about 35% to 75% of men with diabetes will experience at least some degree of erectile dysfunction -- also called ED or impotence -- during their lifetime.
Men with diabetes tend to develop erectile dysfunction 10 to 15 years earlier than men without diabetes. As men with diabetes age, erectile dysfunction becomes even more common. Above the age of 50, the likelihood of having difficulty with an er****on occurs in approximately 50% to 60% of men with diabetes. Above age 70, there is about a 95% likelihood of having some difficulty with erectile dysfunction.
*Why Do Men With Diabetes Have Erectile Dysfunction?*
âž–The causes of erectile dysfunction in men with diabetes are complex and involve impairments in nerve, blood vessel, and muscle function.
âž–To get an er****on, men need healthy blood vessels, nerves, male hormones, and a desire to be s*xually stimulated. âž–Diabetes can damage the blood vessels and nerves that control er****on. Therefore, even if you have normal amounts of male hormones and you have the desire to have s*x, you still may not be able to achieve a firm er****on

*Hypertension vs erectile dysfunction*
âž– Over time, high blood pressure damages the lining of the blood vessels and causes arteries to harden and narrow (atherosclerosis), limiting blood flow. This means that less blood flows to the p***s. For some men, the decreased blood flow makes it difficult to achieve and maintain er****on
▪️The veins and arteries in the p***s are very thin so it means if blood flow is reduced mostly there will be zero or flaccid er****ons
âž–Men with hypertension are almost twice as likely to have impaired pe**le blood flow and erectile dysfunction compared to men with normal blood pressure, increasing their risk of heart disease and death.
âž–High blood pressure damages artery walls, causing them to harden and narrow, and reducing blood flow to the p***s. Erectile dysfunction is an early warning sign of damaged blood vessels
*How High Blood Pressure Leads to Erectile Dysfunction*
âž–To understand how high blood pressure can lead to erectile dysfunction, you first have to understand how er****ons work. Getting an er****on is really a complicated process.
*Anatomy of an Er****on*
âž–In the shaft of the p***s there are two side-by-side chambers of spongy tissue called the corpora cavernosa. They're mainly responsible for er****ons. Just below them is another chamber called the corpus spongiosum. The urethra, which carries semen and urine, runs through the center of it.
âž–The corpora cavernosa are made of small arteries and veins, smooth muscle fiber, and empty spaces. The chambers are wrapped in a sheath of thin tissue.
âž–When you get an er****on, signals from the brain or nerve endings in the p***s cause the smooth muscle of the chambers to relax and arteries to dilate, or open wider. This allows a rush of blood to fill the empty spaces.
âž–The pressure of blood flow causes the sheath of tissue around the chambers to press on veins that normally drain blood out of the p***s. That traps blood in the p***s. As more blood flows in, the p***s expands and stiffens, and you have an er****on
âž–When the excitement ends, the smooth muscle contracts again, taking pressure off the veins and allowing blood to flow back out of the p***s. Then the p***s returns to a flaccid state.
🛑So please note if you are hypertensive and you are experiencing s*xual problems the root cause mostly is poor blood circulation that nids to be addressed then u are ready to go
