Today, NASCOH, together with other project partners, conducted an accessibility assessment at an international company as part of our Economic Empowerment Project to promote inclusive work environments. This effort helps businesses ensure their spaces are welcoming and accessible to all, regardless of ability.

Disability inclusion is not just a checkbox, it’s a bold choice that leads to stronger, more united workplaces.

Let’s keep pushing for spaces that reflect the diversity and strength of our communities.

Under the **Economic Empowerment (EE) Project)**, NASCOH—together with implementing partners FODPZ, DWI, and Sightsavers—successfully hosted a **Disability Sensitisation Training Workshop** for private companies in Harare today.

The training brought together representatives from 11 private companies, providing a dynamic platform to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and promote deeper understanding of disability inclusion in the workplace. The session also boosted employer confidence in engaging and supporting persons with disabilities, highlighting the value they bring to the workforce.

This important dialogue not only enhanced knowledge but also strengthened inclusive practices related to accessibility, equity, and employment.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to all participating companies for joining us in building a more inclusive economy—where every person, regardless of ability, is empowered to contribute meaningfully and thrive.

June 13th is International Albinism Awareness Day. It's a day to recognize and celebrate the human rights of people with albinism around the globe. Albinism is a rare, non-contagious, genetically inherited difference present at birth. It results in a lack of pigmentation (melanin) in the hair, skin, and eyes, causing vulnerability to the sun and bright light. People with albinism face multiple forms of discrimination worldwide. Let's work together to promote understanding, challenge stigma, and ensure their inclusion in all areas of society. "
