The African Regional Meeting 2018 Harare, Zimbabwe (hosted by Zimbabwe Medical Student’s Association)
The Africa Regional Meeting (ARM) is a symposium of African medical students from over 14 countries. These students are from member organizations that are accredited with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA). The ARM is held every year in a different member nation subject to the hosting of a successful bid that meets a specific set of stringent conditions.
This year it is being hosted by Zimbabwe Medical Student’s Association (ZiMSA) in the capital city, Harare. It will run from the 17th of June to the 23rd. The theme is “Medial Social Accountability in Resource Limited Environments” and we saw it pertinent to commit to this theme in light of the economic and social conditions being faced in African countries. Delegates will meet for a week of interactive and educative exchanges on issues that are of vital significance to the practice of medicine on the African continent as well as its teaching and learning practices.
