TAAMRADA CAMPAIGN - Together Against Antimicrobial Resistance and Drug Abuse.
The Pharmacists Against Drug Abuse (PADA) together with Zimbabwe Pharmaceutical Students Association (ZPSA) collaborated on a video campaign project to raise awareness on AntimicrobialResistance (AMR) and Drug Abuse, creating a unified narrative around two public health challenges that urgently need attention.
This health campaign brings together a diverse group of people to show that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and drug abuse affects everyone, regardless of profession, age, or where we come from.
The campaign highlights that AMR is not just a medical issue — it impacts our farms, hospitals, homes, environment, and communities. That is why the One Health approach is essential. It recognizes that human health, animal health, and environmental health are interconnected. Responsible antibiotic use in agriculture, proper prescribing and dispensing in healthcare, and public awareness all work together to prevent resistance.
When we stand together, we can prevent drug abuse, slow the spread of AMR, and protect the medicines we depend on. One world. One health. One shared responsibility.
