December 17 is the International Day to End Violence against S*x Workers. It’s a day to draw attention to the hate crimes that male s*x workers experience, remember the lives lost to these crimes, and fight against the stigma and discrimination that perpetuates violence against male s*x workers.

Position: Finance and Administration Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Develop and oversee annual budgets
- ⁠⁠Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
- ⁠Prepare bank reconciliation statements
- Handle payroll and operational finance activities
- ⁠Processing cash disbursements and ensuring acquittals are submitted on time

Requirements:

Zimbabwe Rainbow Community (ZRC) is a male s*x worker-led organization advocating for the rights, health, and well-being of Male S*x Workers and MSM in Zimbabwe. We seek passionate and dedicated interns to support our mission.

Internship Roles:

1. Program Support Intern: Assist with program implementation, event planning, and community outreach.
2. Advocacy and Policy Intern: Support advocacy efforts, research, and policy development.
3. Communications Intern: Assist with social media management, content creation, and media relations.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with daily operations and projects
- Conduct research and data collection
- Support event planning and implementation
- Develop content for social media and communications
- Engage with community members and stakeholders

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, public health, communications)
- Passionate about MSM, male s*x worker rights and advocacy
- Strong research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Zimbabwe is the first country to launch the SRHR Cohort, which will also be launched in 10 other countries in East and Southern Africa. ARASA's role will be to convene, provide the platform, strengthen and support national organisations take lead in the advocacy on SRHR from grassroot to regional and international levels.
The objectives of this co-creation meeting is to:
Provide a platform for collective review and reflection on the progress of national implementation of regional and international SRHR policies and guidance, including the SADC regional SRHR Strategy;
● Convene key stakeholders to map and co-create advocacy agendas;
● Explore opportunities for advocacy collaboration across diverse social movements;
● Facilitate consensus building and work planning on key national policy priorities for advocacy.
