UNFPA visited Mobile One Stop Centers which were conducted by Musasa in Molo Ward 18 and Goodwood Ward 6, Bubi district to monitor progress under the Women at the Center project. The initiative is significantly expanding access to essential GBV services, bringing basic legal aid, healthcare and psychosocial support directly to women and girls. The Mobile One Stop Centers are also a platform for accessing information on GBV and available services.

Stakeholders including Musasa and Ministry of Women Affairs Small and Medium Enterprise Development supported by GOAL, came together for a review meeting to strengthen coordination and improve GBV response in Hopley and Mbare.

Survivors are accessing psychosocial support, referral pathways are improving, and women are building livelihoods through skills training and savings groups, with some emerging as community leaders supporting others.

With plans to expand services in 2026, the focus remains on strengthening support systems and improving access to survivor-centred care.

Violence does not end in one home. It shapes what children grow up to accept, repeat or endure in their own lives. Ending violence against women and girls is how we protect not just today, but the future.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Victoria Foods for their generous in-kind donation of mealie meal, flour, sugar beans, and popcorn, valued at US$2000, which will directly support Gender Based Violence survivors at 16 shelters across Musasa, ShamwariYemwanasikana, Rozaria Memorial Trust, and one-stop centres at Zimbabwe Association of Church-Related Hospitals.

In moments where access to essentials can restore a sense of dignity and stability, contributions such as these carry immense value. Beyond the donation itself, this gesture is a reminder to survivors that they are seen, supported, and not alone.

We are proud to recognise Victoria Foods as a Silver Partner and value their commitment to making a meaningful difference in our communities.

Thank you for standing with us.
