Today, October 25th, marks World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day, a crucial opportunity to raise awareness, promote understanding, and advocate for the rights and well-being of individuals living with these conditions in Zimbabwe and globally.

Spina bifida and hydrocephalus are complex neurological conditions that affect many lives, often from birth. In Zimbabwe, families face unique challenges, including access to specialized medical care, rehabilitation services, assistive devices, and inclusive educational and employment opportunities.

This day serves as a powerful reminder of the incredible resilience, strength, and potential within every individual living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. It's also a call to action for all of us – governments, healthcare professionals, educators, employers, and communities – to work together to create a more inclusive and supportive environment.
