Happy Easter comrades and friends. Easter gives us an opportunity to reflect on the selfless sacrifice made by our Savior Jesus Christ for the atonement of our sins. I hope we take time to reflect on it as we celebrate.
Still on sacrifice, our independence commemorations are fast approaching. We, as the people of Maphisa are excited to be hosting you all as we also take stock of the gains brought about due to the love, dedication and sacrifice made by thousands of gallant sons and daughters of the soil who fought bravely towards the independence of this country, sacrificing lives and limb for us to enjoy the freedom we now have. I am one of them, grateful to have fought for and witnessed the attainment of our freedom. I am grateful that through his wisdom, His Excellency President Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has granted us an opportunity to host the independence celebrations which will bring witn them legacy projects and infrastructural development. I recently toured some of the projects, to be launched by his Excellency during the independence celebrations. Special thanks to my fellow comrades Central Committee Members Cde Annanias Nyathi and Cde Innocent Dube who accompanied me for the tour.
The tour took us to a Model Science lab of 40 at White Water High School, before proceeding to Kezi Rural Hospital Rehabilitation; Kezi Aerodrome; Maphisa District Hospital Rehabilitation; Minda High School grounds that will host the Independence Gala; Mahetshe Schools where the Childrens party will take place, Isizinda Cultural Center, Maphisa Stadium and finally the Magnificent Joshua Mqabuko VTC. The tour appreciated the Road Works under legacy projects.
I am excited to note the progress that had been made in grassroots development and also take pride to note the participation of Persons With Disability in service provision as we prepare for our Uhuru Celebrations.
We look forward to hosting you all in Maphisa for our Independence Day celebrations.

Happy Friday comrades and friends. I pray you are all well and that you also had a great week. Mine was very eventful and quite exciting as well. In my capacity as Special Advisor to the President and Cabinet on National Disability issues, I had an amazing interaction with Town Clerks and Chamber Secretaries of all Urban Local Authorities as well as CEOs of all Rural District Councils. The meeting took place from Monday to Thursday in Kadoma, with the focus being on Disability Mainstreaming and inclusion in all our local authorities. The level of engagement was amazing, so were the commitments made. I am grateful to our councils for heeding the call of His Excellency President Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of leaving no one and no place behind. On Wednesday, it was an honor to attend our Revolutionary ZANU PF Party's Politburo meeting, chaired by His Excellency President E.D Mnangagwa our President and First Secretary. I sit in the Politburo as the party's Secretary for Persons With Disability. We continue to tap into his wisdom. The focus was on our preparation for the upcoming Independence celebrations, which we, as the people of Maphisa, are honored to be hosting. Yesterday, again I was honored to attend our Central Committee meeting, where I am so grateful to be representing Persons With Disability. Next week, we, as Parliamentof Zimbabwe, will be out in full force throughout the country, consulting all of you on the proposed Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3, which I and fellow Persons With Disability fully support. I urge all of us to come out in our numbers to support the bill, which, among many issues, seeks to give your elected leadership ample time to deliver and not always keep us stuck in the election mode. I wish you all a blessed weekend.

Today, I extend heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for his visionary leadership that has triumphantly taken national commemorations like Independence Day beyond the capital, Harare, to other provinces. We, in Mat South Province, and specifically in Maphisa, are deeply honored to host this year's independence celebrations. As a beacon of progress, we are implementing various legacy projects, including the transformation of Maphisa Stadium and the construction of 40 state-of-the-art laboratories across Matabeleland South Province. The stadium's revamp is a monumental leap forward in providing world-class sports and recreation facilities, empowering our youth to rise above the challenges of substance abuse. This initiative ignites an unrelenting pursuit of excellence in sports, inspiring our football clubs to strive for the Premier Soccer League with unwavering dedication. My fervent aspiration is to witness the electrifying atmosphere of a Premier League match at Maphisa Stadium. Thank you, Your Excellency Comrade President, for bestowing upon us the privilege of hosting this year's independence celebrations. These legacy projects stand as a testament to your enduring legacy. To all my comrades in various parts of the country, I say we look forward to welcoming you at this year's independence celebrations. ZANU PF Party
