Today, we were honoured to welcome the Zimbabwe Nurses Association (ZINA) to join us in marking International Day of Persons with Disabilities . 💙

In a wonderful show of solidarity, ZINA made a generous donation of grocery hampers to persons with disabilities and their families a gesture that truly uplifts and supports our community.

We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the spirit of inclusion it represents. Together, we are building communities where everyone is valued, supported and empowered.

Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities , a day to recognise the strengths, contributions, and diversity of persons with disabilities and to reflect on how we can create more inclusive, accessible communities for everyone.

At Nzeve Deaf Centre, we believe that disability inclusion is not a favour it is a right.

We recommit to:
✔️ Building inclusive communities where persons with disabilities have equitable access to education, livelihoods and meaningful participation.
✔️ Uplifting the leadership and voices of persons with disabilities, because people with disabilities must lead decisions that affect their lives.
✔️ Promoting dignity, respect and belonging for all.

Today, we celebrate the resilience, strength and contributions of persons with disabilities in Zimbabwe and around the world. When everyone is included, communities progress together.

As we mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Nzeve is amplifying efforts to ensure Deaf men and boys are part of the conversation on safety, respect and equality.

Recently, under the with support from AmplifyChange, Nzeve conducted a Deaf Boys and Men’s Camp. Participants explored GBV, HIV/STIs, family planning, mental health, and safeguarding, gaining knowledge and practical skills to prevent violence in their homes and communities.

Informed and engaged men and boys are key to lasting change. Together, we can end GBV and create safer, more inclusive spaces for all.

🟥 World AIDS Day 2025 – “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response”

Today we join the global community in marking . This year’s theme reminds us that, despite progress, many people still face disruptions in HIV prevention, treatment and support.

Across Zimbabwe and the region, we must strengthen investment, fight stigma and discrimination, and support community-led services that ensure everyone can access the care they need.

At Nzeve, we stand in solidarity with people living with HIV and with all individuals, families, and communities affected by HIV. We remain committed to promoting understanding, encouraging testing, supporting treatment and advocating for a healthier, more inclusive society.

Every effort counts. Every voice matters.

Today we join the world in marking the . This year’s UNiTE campaign highlights a growing and deeply harmful reality: technology-facilitated violence against women and girls from cyberbullying and online harassment to doxxing, deepfakes, stalking and other forms of digital abuse.

At Nzeve, we stand for safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces for all women and girls, including those with disabilities, both online and offline. Digital violence has real-world consequences, and women facing intersecting forms of discrimination are among the most affected.

As the 16 Days of Activism begin, we raise our voices to say for any form of violence digital or physical. Let’s work together to promote digital safety, amplify survivor support and build online communities where every woman and girl can participate freely and without fear.
