Building Inclusive Health Services: One Sign at a Time!

Nzeve recently conducted sign language training with nurses from Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital, strengthening their capacity to communicate effectively with Deaf patients.

Inclusive healthcare begins with understanding and communication is at the heart of quality care for everyone.

Together, we’re bridging the communication gap and promoting a health system where no one is left behind.

International Day of Rural Women | 15 October 2025

Across rural communities, women are the backbone of families, food systems, and local economies. Yet, too often, rural women and girls especially those with disabilities face greater barriers to education, health and livelihoods.

Today, we celebrate rural women with disabilities who continue to rise above challenges leading, providing and shaping resilient, inclusive communities.

Let’s continue working towards a world where every woman, with or without a disability, has equal opportunities to thrive.

Today, Nzeve Deaf Centre joins the world in celebrating the . 💛

Under the theme “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead,” we celebrate girls with disabilities leaders, innovators and changemakers in their communities.

At Nzeve, we see every girl as powerful and capable not defined by her challenges, but by her ideas, actions, and the impact she creates.

Together, let’s create a world where every girl regardless of ability is heard, included and supported to lead the change she envisions.

It’s .Let’s take a moment to pause and check in with ourselves, and with each other. 💚

This year’s theme, “Access to mental health services in times of catastrophes and emergencies,” reminds us that care and support should always be within reach, especially when life feels uncertain.

At Nzeve, we continue to promote inclusion, wellbeing and access to psychosocial support for persons with disabilities and their families because everyone deserves to be heard, understood and supported. ✨
