Scenes from the just ended Joint Conference of the Community Pharmacists Association (CPA) and the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers Association (PWA) held on 5 July 2025, under the timely theme: “Fostering Access to Pharmaceutical Services in a Dynamic Environment.”

This impactful gathering, a clear testament to the importance of unity and collaboration in strengthening healthcare delivery.The message was clear: collaboration between pharmacists and distributors is vital to ensure that safe, accessible, and efficient care reaches every patient.

Highlights included thought-provoking insights from Dr. S. Pfumojena on the need for patient-centred care (PCC), and a strong call from the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr. Douglas T. Mombeshora, for enhanced collaboration across all sectors — especially in extending pharmaceutical services to district level. Powerful contributions from Mr. G. Karani among other’s further enriched the discussions.

We recently supported the CPCPZ Charity Golf Tournament on the 11th April 2025 ,reaffirming our commitment to the medical community. With 85 attendees, including 42 registered medical professionals, the event was a success. The day featured golf, an awards ceremony, and the opportunity to present prizes to winners. We remain committed to supporting healthcare professionals and initiatives that make a positive impact.

Happy pharmacy month .NAI joins the medical community and the entire world in appreciating and honouring pharmacists, and the field of pharmacy, for the vital role they play in healthcare .

As we reflect on how much pharmacy as a profession has grown and evolved in the last hundreds of years. Pharmacy has certainly has made many advancements.

Did you know that Coca Cola and Dr. Pepper were both invented by pharmacists in the 1880's.
This, of course, is not an all-encompassing reflection of the many important events in pharmacy history.
