🌟 Meet the Team – Dr. Kamila Wilczynska 🌟

We’re delighted to introduce Dr. Kamila Wilczynska, an Independent Tenant General Practitioner at Blackwood Family Medical Centre.

Dr. Wilczynska began her medical journey in emergency medicine, working across hospitals in the Northern Territory before discovering her passion for general practice. She later moved into rural medicine, providing care to the communities of Moonta, Karoonda, and Mannum.

One of the most meaningful chapters of her career was her time at Yanggalagawi, the regional Aboriginal health clinic on the Yorke Peninsula, where she had the privilege of working closely with Indigenous Australians and gaining invaluable cultural and clinical experience.

🔹 Dr. Wilczynska’s key areas of interest include:
• Chronic disease management
• Skin cancer and dermatology
• Paediatrics

Outside the clinic, Dr. Wilczynska enjoys running, spending time with her two energetic kelpies, and—as a new mum—cherishing every moment with her family. She speaks both English and Polish.

Today we’re excited to introduce Angela, our wonderful Practice Manager who keeps our clinic running smoothly each and every day. With her warm personality, exceptional organisational skills, and passion for patient care, Angela is truly at the heart of our practice.

Angela brings years of experience in healthcare administration, and her dedication shows in everything she does. From supporting our staff to improving daily processes, she ensures that our patients always receive the best possible experience. Her calm approach, quick problem-solving, and genuine care for people make her an invaluable part of our team.

Meet Neven, the smiling voice you’ll hear when you call in, and the friendly face greeting you when you arrive. With 3 years in healthcare reception, Neven brings both professionalism and warmth to our front desk.
What does Neven do?
• ✅ First point of contact for patients — takes enquiries, helps with bookings, and answers questions.
• ✅ Manages check-ins and helps make your time at our clinic run smoothly.
• ✅ Works closely with our clinical team to ensure information flows correctly and everyone’s on the same page.

🌟 Meet Nada – Our Registered Nurse

Hi everyone, I’m Nada – a Registered Nurse here at Blackwood Family Medical Centre.

I’ve been nursing for seven years, with the last two spent in general practice – a role I truly love. No two days are the same, and that’s what makes it so rewarding. From immunisations and wound care to care plans and helping patients work towards their health goals, I enjoy the variety that each day brings.

What I love most about my role is the opportunity to connect with people and make a positive difference in their lives. Whether it's a quick chat or ongoing support, being part of someone’s health journey is a privilege.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of three and enjoy spending time with my husband and kids – whether it’s shopping trips, weekend adventures, or simply enjoying a coffee while walking along the beach.

Nursing is not just my job – it’s my passion. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a team that genuinely cares for our community every day.

Rhiannan is truly the heart of our front desk – always ready to help with a kind word, a helpful hand, and a calm, caring presence. Since joining Blackwood in 2020, Dr. Powierza has become a valued part of our team. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring medical students, always keen to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for quality patient care.
