Caught a few banana prawns the other week and had a little fry up on the jetty for everyone!!
We not only fed our Awesome Anglers crew but also a few kids who were fishing that morning!

Girl Power has arrived at Awesome Anglers!!
We are proud to introduce to you this little legend by the name of Alex! What a find for us!!!
Alex comes to us with years of fishing experience after managing TackleWorld Weipa..
She is a fishing weapon and a huntress who loves to barrel a Boar or two in her spare time with her trusty dogs.. Like we said… WEAPON!
We will be hopefully be bringing sessions to the tablelands where Alex will spearhead these.
Alex is also a professional photo and videographer as well as a digital design artist.
Pretty sure she knows Kungfu also..

For expressions of interest up Tablelands way hit us up.. Nothing booked yet but hoping to share Alex’s extensive knowledge with our community.

Well we saw a first on Friday for Mr. Seth!!
He’s had quite a few nicknames over the years..
Seth from Above, The Lizard Wizard!! Today we added a new one.. Mr One and Done!
Seth bought a new lure from BCF - Boating, Camping, Fishing to try out since there has been a few Queenfish about. After checking his knots he cast it once and a False Trevally nailed it! We don’t know who was more surprised! Lisa caught a big hold Puffer Fish that was released.
PSA- Please be aware that snakes are out and about with all this hot weather we are having!!
Saw this 2m Night Tiger last night whilst out and about for Halloween..

Hey Fam!! Rivers been hella funky last couple of weeks with very little tidal flow. Saying that…
We can still find the fish! We welcome Kallum to the crew with a first ever catch of a juvenile Barred Gunter on a small vibe lure! Talk about joining with a bang! Nick nailed the most biggest herring and P2D2 came up with the goods on the beautiful Queenfish! It’s really starting to fire up out there so.. SLIP SLOP SLAP & SLURP!!
Hydration is the key guys.. H20 for days!

Well haven’t we been blessed with the most beautiful weather! Lots of new faces and friendships on the jetty which makes us super proud.. Mahalia and Ewan were on fire over the weekend whilst Capt. Timbo and the Ska Troopers caught a nice Blue Salmon through the week!
We just got off the jetty and Chase caught a banger of a Threadfin Salmon on a live Herring!
Too bad it was undersized and had to go back!

Capt. Ethan did. Something on Saturday we’ve never seen before too! He not only caught bait but also a Barra and a Queenfish in the one cast! Talk about lazy fishing!!
