Mission successful!! Two throws of the castnet yielded 50 Herring! Tide almost at the bottom when we dropped a livie about halfway down the water table and within 10 mins the rod buckled in half with a big Ol’ Barra at 73cm!! Gavin was super excited to have finally caught his elusive Barramundi! Video to follow..

Hey Y’all!!
A few happy snaps from abouts the way.
We had to share some sunset pics from today..
Geez we are blessed to live in such a beautiful country and it’s not a bad thing to remind yourself every now and then. Fishing has been a bit up and down lately with these neap tides.
P2D2 and I had a great round of golf the other day and we also got some action happening over in Western Australia with young Cooper aka Fysh Lur running a meet and greet on the Swan River!

We love and live what we do..

The HSS Boys to Men Group facilitates quality time between male role models and our young male students. Our goal is to help our boys understand what it takes to be good men. The incredible role models of Awesome Anglers came to visit last week and taught us how to catch the amazing fish they catch all the time! Awesome Anglers is a Mental Health Respite Service located right here in Cairns that provides valuable positive experiences for a variety of clients of all ages. Their service costs can be funded by a number of avenues including NDIS.
They perfectly modelled the way we become “good men” by being considerate of others and how they may learn differently, being safe by listening and following directions, being honest when we needed help and how to ask for it, being patient when we didn’t get it straight away and resilient by never giving up! Thank you, Awesome Anglers, for your time and all that you do for our community!
