No photo but I presented the fundraising cheque to the Cairns School of Distance Education P & C Association from the Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride last week. It was the final chapter in the bike ride for this year and was really completion of the main task for the ride.

It was held in the Trinity Bay High School Assembly Hall. As a past student at Trinity Bay I was quite familiar with the hall but hadn't been there for a very very long time. There had been quite a lot of changes in that time. A bit of a nostalgia trip.

AOA conferance last week. Having it in Cairns was a bonus. We have it here about once every 10 years. Makes a welcome change to travelling for conferences.

This might be a bit corny but the biomechanics is spot on. The patella earns it's keep, we are reluctant to remove them.

The rooms refurbishment party went off well last night with a wide variety of people attending. The food was delicious, the drinks were cold and the company exceptional !

It is only a humble fax machine, but you don't realise how much you love it till it's gone..... Well not working anyway. We got the fax line & internet connected to the NBN. We were severely mislead by the # # # # # # who installed our phone system which resulted in at least 3 weeks of misery & stress. Once I realised this I contacted Telequip who conected things up within 24 hours. It still took a week to get everything working but normal service has been resumed. Ye Ha !!

The reporting by the ABC is not entirely accurate. All excercise is good for you, and the first bit you do does the most good. The study shows that you get increasing benefit up to high levels of excercise. When they interviewed the researcher on TV he gave the above slant. You don't need to run for an hour each day to get worthwhile benefit.

People need to do five times the exercise recommended by the World Health Organisation to stay healthy, a Queensland study finds.
