When in doubt get the beef jerky out!

After all my homemade beef jerky was misplaced *cough (Evelyn) we decided to go down to our local butchers purchase some topside beef and get cooking 🧑‍🍳 with a tiny bit of help Evelyn picked all of her ingredients tasting and smelling each ingredient to throw into her bowl putting together a very yummy looking batch of jerky 😋

Hope everyone had a great couple of weeks off over school holidays it’s good to be back! I haven’t been posting much as I’ve been quite sick with the flu but managed to catch up with a few of the guys and gals doing some arts and crafts with young Evelyn to golf with Koby.

To share a quick story from Sunday, Paanthu and myself were down at the Stratford jetty fishing and we set up our gazebo next to a young family from down south, they were traveling up to the cape with their young boys who really wanted to catch a Barramundi, after 1 hour the young boy hooked up to a Barra which Paanthu coached him through the best way to land it and after couple of minutes Paanthu lowered a drop net to help retrieve the fish safely. The young boy was quite estatic as it was his first ever Bara and was extremely thankful to Paanthu for helping him land the fish, this to me shows a great example of Community and how a small act of kindness from Paanthu turned into a very memorable day for the young lad 😇

Can’t begin to explain how exited I am to post this, went fishing with Paanthu Saturday, he asked if we could fish a little bit longer and within 30mins of finishing our day we hit the mother load, 111cm Baramundi!!!! We were so excited Paanthu couldn’t tell enough people about the monster he landed, couldn’t be more proud we initially freaked out as soon as it surfaced but luckily Paanthu was level headed and we came up with a game plan to retrieve him safely. After all the excitement we spent a good chunk on Sunday cryovac fish fillets who John was very kind to show us how to fillet a fish of This Caliber. Can safely say that Paanthu will be eating Bara for the next month

X-Golf Cairns to start the morning and a lovely beach walk to finish the afternoon, had a great time with Koby who’s getting more accurate with his shots and gaining some power in the process 💪🏻 also enjoyed a nice stroll with Evelyn, ended up collecting 30 shells which I’m sure will end up scattered in my car somewhere.

Had a great week with the gang, did some x golf with young Koby, bowling with young Evelyn, fishing with Paanthu and even Paanthu’s younger brother had his high school graduation which he looked very suave for 🎩😎

Also for those who enjoy taking participants for golf, if your participant has a companion card it’s only $25 for 1 hour or $33 for 2 hours which is extremely cost effective and great bang for your buck X-Golf Cairns
