Symptoms can include:
🚽 Increased frequency urinating
🔥 Pain or burning on urinating
😖 Difficulty passing urine or passing only small quantities
👃 Changes to urine including cloudy, smelly or blood present

An annual Australian national day of action for su***de prevention held on September 11th.

What can I do on R U OK? Day?
❓Ask: Start a relaxed and friendly conversation by asking "R U OK?".
👂Listen: Be patient and open-minded to hear what the person has to say without judgment.
📣Encourage Action: Ask them how they would like to be supported, and suggest they talk to friends, family, or a professional.
💬Check in: Follow up to show you care and are there for them.

🩺 BV vs Vaginal Thrush: What’s the Difference?

📣Let’s talk about something many experience but few feel comfortable discussing: va**nal health! Two common conditions — Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) and Vaginal Thrush — often have similar symptoms, but they’re actually very different and need different treatments.

Here’s a quick guide to tell them apart 👇

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
⚖ Caused by an imbalance of natural bacteria in the va**na
🐠Thin, watery discharge with a fishy odour
❌Usually not itchy
🌸More common in sexually active women

Vaginal Thrush (Yeast Infection)
🍄Caused by an overgrowth of yeast (Candida)
🧀Thick, white, “cottage cheese” - like discharge
😖Often very itchy, with redness or discomfort
😓Can happen to anyone — even if you're not sexually active

👉 Why it matters: These two conditions are often mistaken for one another, but they require different treatments. Treating the wrong one can make things worse.
