As the hamstring muscles begin at the sitting bones and
connect below the knees, the only way to stretch them is
to bend at the hips, keeping the knees straight.

Iyengar yoga classes are taught by Jan Watson, at The Progress Hall, Porters Promenade, Mission Beach.
Beginner Class is on Saturdays: 10.00am - 11.00am
General Class is on Thursdays: 5.30pm - 6.45pm
Intermediate Class is on Saturdays: 8.00am - 9.30am

I hold an Iyengar Yoga Teaching certificate; Junior Intermediate Level 2. I have been teaching yoga since 2001.
With an eye for detail and clear concise instructions you are in good hands. The space is absolutely beautiful. There is some yoga mats & equipment available to borrow. I do, however, encourage you to bring your own gear. Please bring a towel to put over any equipment you do use.
The location of the hall is easy to find...driving north along Porters Promenade, make a right hand turn into the beach side caravan park (opposite the Big 4) and turn immediately left into the carpark. You will see the beautiful community hall straight ahead. We are right on the beach.
