Established in 2014 as way of empowering specialist and allied health professionals to create and develop their own medical practices, Integrated Medical Services offers a completely new way for medical professionals to do business. Integrated Medical Services takes care of the business requirements of operating a successful practice such as providing a physical location, web development, staffing, managing enquiries and appointment, financial compliance including BAS generation and lodgement….right down to organising business cards. Confident in its service provision model and quality, Integrated Medical Services is obligation free, meaning that clients are free to leave at any time. Tendering and proposal development are also services Integrated Medical Services provides, enabling medical specialists to focus on their patients whilst also have the opportunity to secure new service provision opportunities. Since 2014, Integrated Medical Services has assisted many medical professionals to start, manage and build their own private practices without the concerns associated with entering into partnerships or taking the traditional ‘clinic’ route.

IMS is delighted to have been chosen by James Cook University (JCU) to build the Far North Private Hospital on the Dugurrdja Medical Precinct. We thank JCU and Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) for the opportunity and look forward to working with them as foundation partners of the Dugurrdja site.

As the first healthcare precinct in Northern Australia, this a landmark collaboration. We see a unique opportunity to provide contemporary models of care that cost-effective, flexible, and meet the ongoing challenges in both the public and private healthcare sectors.

We look forward to progressing this partnership and developing a facility on a precinct that we know will become the epicentre of health innovation in Northern Australia.

At IMS – Far North Day Hospital we understand the power of partnership and last weekend hosted a GP Conference that attracted over 80 General Practitioners from across the region including Cooktown, Weipa, Innisfail, Tully, Townsville, the Atherton Tablelands, Cairns and over 20 medical specialists.

We had great representation from community health organisations including the Queensland Health HealthPathways team, COUCH Wellness Centre and an informative session from Shaquille Chong on Culturally Competent Practice for Aboriginal people.

Business for Doctors provided valuable insight into Medicare changes, and GPs got some great insight into the management of a broad range of specialties from gynaecology to haematology.

Importantly, the weekend deepened collaborative ties between local health services across the region, medical specialists and GPs.

A key takeaway was that great things happen when we work together and reinforced for us all the importance of partnerships and collaboration.

A very big thank you to all our participants, presenters, sponsors and community partners for your engagement and enthusiasm. Together we are advancing healthcare across Far North Queensland!

Let's extend a warm welcome to Dr. Joe Bradbear of Far North Gastro!

Dr. Joe has just opened his private practice at our specialist suites within Integrated Medical Services. Bringing with him extensive training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Cairns Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and QEII Jubilee Hospital.

Dr Joe has experience and training with managing inflammatory bowel disease and a wide range of general gastroenterology services. Dr. Joe focuses on providing quality upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and bowel cancer prevention treatments.
